The 2007 edition of the Outdoor Games was, as usual in Interlaken, a great event. If you don't know it yet, the concept is as follow: 6 teams composed of athletes in 5 disciplines (Mountain biking, climbing, kayaking, base-jumping, paragliding) have 5 days to produce a 5-min movie. Each team also has a videographer/director and a photographer. At the end of the week, the movies are judged by a jury, determining the winning team.
This was my 3rd participation in the event, but my first as a team captain and director. As expected, this was an exciting and tiring task!
The "Freedom Fries" team , named after a well-known international relations mishap:
My "Freedom Fries" team was composed of: Sam Beaugey for Base-jumping, Guillaume Destouches for biking, Joakim Ramsamy in climbing, Arnaud Rocher in paragliding, Cyril Crespeau as a photgrapher, as well as Benjamin Durand and myself for the paddling part. In the end, after some tough deliberations, the Heteroceres team won the film competition just ahead of our own movie. Anyway we were all very pleased with the public reaction during the showing, and very satisfied to come up with the movie we wanted to make.

The productions level was truely amazing this year, definately one step ahead of the previous years. It was extremly interesting as a videomaker to see and learn from the other directors, and their approach when facing such a challenge.
